Having trouble uploading a new avatar

I am trying to upload a pic of my new roo Bucky as my avatar. I went to uploads and selected the pic. Then, I went to change avatar and I chose the same pic and it said the pic was to big. What do I do?

You will need to resize it to 100x100 pixels max.

You can do this in Paint.

It's an image editing program. I could resize it for you if you want.
