HI,
I am on day 21..................my humidity started to go down......61
added water and now it is 74 and has been for two hours or better.
Is there somwthing I can do to get the humidity down to 65/70
Thank you

I think the humidity is supposed to be around 65% during the lockdown. have you tried putting in a sponge with the water??

I kept mine @ 70%-75% my last hatch, when they started to hatch it jumped up to 85%. I just vented it a little to get it back down to where I wanted it.

I ran mine between 62-72, it jumped up to 75 for awhile and then spiked at 90+ when they started popping out like pop corn. When it got up to 90 I broke the cardinal rule and opened the bator to take wet egg shells out along with some chicks. I wouldn't reccomend that, but in my case it worked out well. The humidity came back down to a reasonable 75 and the temp. came back up withing minutes. I did turn the heat up in the room before I opened things up.

You should be okay with that humidity. Mine was around 72-76% during the hatch. Just vent some holes for ventilation, the humidity will rise when you have hatched chicks. Good luck!
