Just wanted to give everyone an update on Peeps and Fluffy. We've been living over here in Vegas since October and so far have not gotten any complaints and the chickens are happy and thriving. We got a really nice coop and since there was no room in the garage we put it out in our backyard covered with a tent. We got a misting system and a little makeshift pond for them that we made out of a plastic container. We even bought a little swamp cooler and put it in their coat.. All in all they are very happy. They spend their nights indoors because my son has a walk in closet that has plenty of space; he just lines the floor with plastic. The hardest part of our whole move was relocating the chickens we actually had to ship them them via air to Los Angeles and then drive over from Vegas to pick them up. That sure was a long drive (and flight) but they did just fine and were so happy to see us when we picked them up. Peeps is actually laying more eggs and fluffy is growing less than he used to. I'm just so happy that they made it out here and are thriving. We couldn't have done the whole move chicken thing without the help of a pet relocating company in Honolulu called called Tails of Hawaii. It was costly but they booked the tickets, gave the chickens their necessary vaccinations and tests, checked them into the airport and made it possible for us to have our feathered family join us join us in our new home!
