Good luck with your hawk problem. Have you had anymore troubles? I know I'm going to build my run with a cover so that I can avoid the hawk problem as well as other predators. My uncle lost 20 chickens to a fox that just ran up and over his 6' tall run and grabbed a chicken and ran up and over back. A covered run is probably the best solution for most predators.
