I was just mixing up mash for my birds when I heard the loud rustling of feathers. I assumed that Blackfoot was mating one of his hens.
There was more squawking than usual coming from the peanut gallery.
I thought that he might be trying to mate one of the 2 month old pullets so I walked over.
I got there just in time to see him kicking a hawk's a$$ and I watched as it escaped and flew off empty handed.
My man!
I'm sure there'll be more hawk attacks but I don't know if this hawk will be back.
