Help!! Injured comb from Hawk attack. It is a large comb and has ripped from her head quite a bit. It looks like it needs to be cut. Has anyone done this? Please advise!

As you can see, her eye is obviously injured from being scratched or something. Any advice that would be great.

She also has two cuts around her neck. I am disinfecting, Neosporin and blood stopper. Any other advice would be so appreciated!

Pictures can be helpful. Has the bleeding eased? I would hold off cutting the comb for now, but sometimes it may be necessary if they shake their heads and keep it bleeding. I would try to avoid it if possible. Trimming a comb requires a very sharp knife. Combs bleed a lot. Some breeds are docked or have the combs removed to show them, and these owners are more experienced with trimming combs. How is the chicken doing? Is there a head injury, or are they acting normal? Corn starch, flour, and blood stop powder all will help to stop bleeding.

Pictures would definitely help. So we could know if it could just be trimmed up. Dubbing in game fowl is a thing so if it's just the comb and she's not scalped she should be fine with trimming. If it's down to the skull or scalped she will be ok as well. Just separate her and do normal wound care. Keep it clean with an antimicrobial.
