They look similar to the spur wounds my hens get from the rooster when he mates them. Don’t panic, they’re easy to deal with. Keep them clean. Use a saline solution and veteracin, I have heard blue kote is painful, but I’m not sure. Keep the wound clean and continue veteracin until it’s healed. Keep an eye out for infection-sitting fluffed, lethargic, not wanting to eat. Good luck!

Flush the wound with saline. Then use some betadine. Then some triple antibiotic ointment - eye type is preferable.
Don't try to suture but before you start the process, trim away feathers that could get into the wounds.
Yes. Totally. And if it's any consolation... We had a hen with an ugly, gaping wound from fly strike this summer. Just kept it really clean, soaked her in betadine/warm water solution, put some Neosporin (no pain meds in it) on her and you would never know, today, that she was ever injured - pretty miraculous the way they can heal up!!! Best of luck to you!

If you can see the major wound is a laceration with an air bubble of very thin tissue. Ive flushed with saline but afraid to do more Incase it could be a pneumothorax... any veterinary peeps a part of this group???!!!

IMHO I would Clean it as others mentioned and cut away the feathers and use paper tape to Close the wound but DO NOT force the skin if it won’t close. Where is the big wound it’s hard to tell? Any breathing issues?
Hope everything is ok.

Hi there! The larger wound is under her wing on her breast. No breathing issues other than stress. Still eating and moving around. I've separated her to keep a closer eye on her.
What do you mean by "paper tape"? Just like scotch tape?
