So sorry for your loss. I have had plenty of losses over the years from many different predators both aerial and ground. lessons learned the hard way. Now I have all of my pens covered with some good heavy duty netting, electric wires around my coops and pens and concrete under the gates all due to losses from predators in the past. I don't free range anymore but do have nice large pens for my birds. Good luck...
