Hi I was outside to day and saw this in my neighbors yard. This road is very very busy what kind is it? It was eating something like a bunny or squirrel. Me and my neighbor got close enough to hear it ripping meat off the poor thing. It was amazing to see that one that close but also I am afraid for my chickens.

I am on my phone but it looks like a red tailed hawk. It can certainly take chickens as well.

I have seen goshawks (one went through a cover on a run to kill 3 juvies a couple months ago) and Cooper's lately.

that just awful. It was like a size of a small hen and we where maybe 20 feet away and it didn't seam to care just kept eating.
