Hawk problems.

Yeah, migration time. BOP are migrating South and they eventually stack up here in Oklahoma and Texas. In Winter it seems like there's a hawk on every telephone pole, I don't know how any small game makes it.

I applaud your efforts OP, way too many BOP out there, their numbers go unchecked. Hope you can eradicate the offender that's trying to kill your livestock.
They may become slightly more aggressive this time of year, but this has been an ongoing problem. There are a lot of hawks every day, and have been for the past few years.

You are allowed to protect your livelihood. At least here where we live, no farmer would let something kill its livestock without taking action in one form or another. I too have been having a hawk predation problem. I'm not locking my girls up as I'm out in the country and if something is harming them it will be time for the 3 S's.
I wouldn't let a wolf, bear or any other predator do it either without sending it for a dirt nap.

Show a picture of gap it is getting through. I am stopping Coopers Hawks using some deer netting. Once in a while you may have to untangle an offender but it is easier than even shooting one.
