There are plenty of videos of hawks in coops. Quite awhile back a BYC member posted a video. I have had a hawk get into my covered run through a breach in the netting that covers my pens and went on a killing spree. I repaired the spot and the rest of the netting. No more issues. I don't free range anymore due to losses in the past from different predators, but my birds all have nice large pens. My property is mostly open pasture. The birds prefer to stay in their pens when I have opened the gates to let them out, but years ago I planted trees in all of the pens and made rain/shade tables for them to get under. Good luck...
