Hawks

Can a large plastic eagle or a large plastic dog deter hawks? I live in pigeonville here, this neighborhood always has hawks flying around. Any other ways of keeping my chicks safe, or will I have to fence the ceiling? Karen

I would put a topper on the run, just to be safe. If there are that many hawks around.....not haveing them covered, would be like playing with fire.

Closing in the top of your run will also help keep out other predators.
