My laying hens are getting crushed by a hawk this winter. He is taking about one a week at the moment and I am not sure what to do. He seems to hide in these dense trees that the chickens also like to hide in and he attacks them there. Is there anything I can do to get rid of a hawk. I really want to keep free-ranging my hens...

Thanks!

that will take care of him for sure.

Wouldn't want you to get into big $$ trouble by shooting a protected species. When I have hawks around - I will shoot into the air or in a tree beside them to spook them off. This usually does the trick for me. Good luck to you!
