Hay for Rabbits

Timothy but make sure it is the complete full stocks and includes all (leafs and stems and stuff) not chopped up or anything. I give my bunny Beanie timothy hay.

kuntrygirl,
I see you have sheep and a goat. What kind of hay do you feed them? Chances are that your rabbit will do just fine with that.
There's no telling how old the hay from Walmart or a pet shop would be...I would go with what you have or buy a bale of fresh timothy. The sheep or goat will eat what the rabbit doesn't.

I feed my sheep and goat the "regular" hay. It's just a bale of brown hay. Looks like what my grass looks like after it has dried up after a day or 2 after cutting it but this is in a bale. (sorry but i dont know the type of hay that it's called) When I go to the feed store, that is what I ask for and they give me the same kind that i have been getting for years. I do throw some of that hay in there with them and they seem to enjoy it. I just wanted to make sure that what I'm feeding them has enough of the nutrients and other essentials that they need for healthy living.

I feed coastal/bermuda grass hay, same stuff our horses get. There is no such thing as timothy hay around here, except the walmart bagged crap.

Basically any kind of grass hay is good. Timothy is kind of the standard, but coastal, bermuda, sudan, etc are all fine, too. I would personally choose to feed straw before I fed alfalfa hay to my rabbits.
