Got some better pics of Hazels feathers... please tell me a pullet!

Pearl is behind Hazel...

this is Pearl above

So I got some letter pics of Hazels feathers... any ideas on sex?

I don’t see any pointy feathers they are 21 ish weeks!

I think hazel is a cockerel. Those tail feathers look completely different than your pullet. See how they are starting to curl over and that comb and wattles are very red.

Got two girls! No evidence of pointy saddle feathers. They appear to be round at the ends. The one with the large comb/wattles is going to start laying pretty soon. Watch for squatting when you approach her they both are beautiful birds.

I'm still not sure? I could really make an argument either way, sorry I know that isn't helpful. With as red as the comb and wattles are if Hazel is a pullet she should be laying in the next few weeks!

I am one who said Hazel looked like a cockerel originally. And the face does look male to me. But there are no other signs on Hazel's body of it being male. I think I was wrong-- Hazel is probably a point of lay pullet with a large comb and wattles. It can and does happen. You won't know for sure until you hear a crow or see an egg, though.

Agree-- Hazel is a tough nut to crack. Hoping she is a pullet!
