Hazel wood hens .

First things first, my chickens live mostly free range in a hazel forest. I’m in Ireland so I can’t say that they love the weather here and it rains a bit so they don’t get out on stormy days.they live in a large shed and I let them out each morning . In this thread I’ll post pictures of each chicken and a bit about them .

Time for some introductions!
This is phoenix he is a silkie and he loves his hens but he isn’t very good at protecting them against predators other than cats . He loves watermelon and does a dance when I walk over to him and he tidbits for me and jumps up on my knee ! He is a lot sweeter than any other rooster I’ve ever owned!
Sorry the photos are bad, he wouldn’t stop moving!

This is marble , the cream legbar rooster . He is very timid but stands beside me and keeps an eye on me . He’s very sweet tho !
