Before I had separate calibrated thermometers, & hygrometers, I had a moderate to low hatch rate.

I remember my last hatch, it was 8 chicks out of 2 dozen eggs. That was before I paid more attention to temp, & humidity.

The HHD 12 is not the greatest incubator without some adjustments unfortunately. My 1st hatch went really poorly I think because the humidity spiked (but I did get 1 healthy chick thankfully after i lost my Roo). There are a few videos on YouTube to check.
* Instead of filling the water chambers as in the instructions- you can try filling a small water bottle cap with water to keep the humidity more regulated with less surface area (and increase later weeks as needed)
A separate hydrometer and temperature gauge inside are an Absolute Must - to double check the machine. This will reduce your egg space (HHD 9 it should be lol)
I do really like the overall build and extra features on it though, for a small -hobby hatcher.... so I'm hoping I'll have better luck next run
