Do chickens become lonely? I have a 6 yr old bantam rooster and for 3 years now he hasnt had a chicken lady friend.

he acts like he is a person but! if we leave the back door open he will quite happily walk through the house to find us. if its not open, he will peck at the door until we open it. he craves attention and does about anything to get it. He loves cuddles, kisses and falling asleep with us... does he act so close to us because hes lonely?

Chickens are very social creatures. He would be very happy to have a few friends of his own species!!

Warning: BYC can become seriously addicting!!
