We only have one kind of gas. Our local grocery store gives fuel discounts and about once a month we get 2 free 5 gallon cans of gas. DH likes premium for the truck, so that's what he gets in the cans. All the cans were bought last summer, so they shouldn't have any serious buildup in the bottom. We don't have any other fuel here (well, there's diesel but it's hidden since it's only used in the winter.) We think he wasn't shifting gears correctly, and sometimes even when he did shift he didn't let off the gas to do it. Its making a weird chugging sound. Its definitely getting the gas through the system, it just sounds like its not running right. It making a two tone humming sound. Plus that noise that sounded like a shot. Oh....and it's not really going anywhere! When it does move its very jerky.
DH says maybe it needs a new spark plug and the squeeky noise might be the brakes. I'm sure he'll get it fixed I just hate the extra work it makes by not being able to use the quad this week.
The cousin is very lucky he isn't here right now, or he'd be hand carrying buckets of mucky pond water around the yard!
