He Crowed today

This morning as I was putting the younguns outside I heard a noise in the other chicken pen. I looked over there and sure enough I heard it again. Loverboy Luke crowed for the first time. I was so excited and he sounded good for his first crows. Have not heard him since, but he did it about 6 times this morning.

I know how you feel. My "Floyd" crowed for the first time last week.

He's gotten a lot better since. Yesterday I got a surprise crow

from "Silver" oops. I made a mistake and one of my girls is a rooster also. At least it's a non-gender specific name. LOL Just hope I don't make that mistake too often.

Baycity he is almost 11 weeks old. He is a beauty too.

Well actually his name was Lovey because he was supposed to be a pullet. Yeah right. Hence the name Loverboy Luke.LOL

How old are silkies before they crow...... mine is 5 months and nothing still sounds like chick?

good question about the silkies...i have 6 of them and i cant tell if they are roosters or not...how can i tell??...thanks , Wendy
