he is still not laying,is that normal?

i have a buff orp roo that is almost a year that crowed twice for the first time the other day not a peep since,we have another buff that was a year old the 1st of dec been crowing for 6 months wont stop,he'll crow while you are carring him,silly thing just likes to hear his own crow i guess

My roos started at 6 months and sound off when ever they hear a noise. The Barred Rock is 1 1/2 yrs. old and just mangles the typical "crow" sound, but the 2 6 mo. old RIR Roos sound beautiful. Just give em time.

no, the one crows alot,he'll crow if he sees the bathroom light flip on in the middle of the night,and I have about 15 roosters,so im glad they ALL dont crow alot
