I have a 12 week Leghorn (Hen ?) when I heard her crow I was looking online to see how to tell the sex, i know you have helped other people with determining the sex of their Leghor, having a log discussion with family about my Leghorn and everyone thinks its different sex than other family members , could you please help settle the confusion?

Pictures would help, what did the crow sound like? I've had some pretty noisy ladies in the past and I know (at least from our "pullet" who turned out to be a rooster that at first it sounds like an animal dying).

Welcome to BYC! If you post a picture of the chicken in question, we should be able to tell by this age.

Yes, that's a cockerel. While Leghorns females do have pretty big combs, they wouldn't be this big or red at 12 weeks unless it was a male.

Thank you all for the replies, all the chicks were suppose to be straight run (Hens only) Her name was Ms. P so now I guess I have a Mr. P
