I’ve had this chicken since mid March. Its beak became deformed as it continued to grow but I read up on how to best care for it so it could thrive. I babied it and is my friendliest chicken. Recently it’s comb and wattle enlarged and brightened. This morning I heard a crowing sound that sounds like it is just learning how to crow. There are no tail feathers that are typical of a roo and the spurs aren’t really developed either. So now I’m just confused. Any thoughts and insight appreciated.

Definitely a male, he's certainly got some genetic issues going on but sounds like you are making it work, try to make sure you don't breed from him. His spurs are definitely growing too. As for tail feathers, he appears to be rumpless so there can't be any rooster tail feathers if he doesn't really have much of a tail to begin with ;)
