Hello everybody,
I have 24 pullets of various breed. They been laying now for about 2 weeks. When they were younger I had identified several rooster that I gave away because I didn't want to keep any roosters. This morning I go out to the coop and let them out and soon after I see one of my cuckoo maran mounting and, looked like breeding one of the other girls. I have heard no crowing and the maran in question does have a nice comb and waddles and I wouldn't say rooster like. Has anybody else seen this sort of behavior before ( I have not)? I thought maybe she/he could be just thying to figure things out.
Thanks,
Wally
