He (?) was supposed to be a Silkie...

7 weeks old and I'm thinking maybe a cochin roo? Comb is orange. He (?) was solid black as a hatchling.
Any thoughts as to what breed/gender? The other two are silkies.

Looks like a Silkie cross, and yes looks to be a cockerel

He is not purebred cochin. Looks like he is a cochin mixed with a silkie. Possibly a project bird? He looks to have silkie feathering on his rear and dark skin. The single comb and "hard" feathering on the front would be a result of the cochin parentage.

He has yellow skin and fully feathered legs/feet and is the same size as the Silkie we hatched and the white one too.

The feet don't look yellow in the pics. They look dark like a silkies.
