Head Removed from my Duck!!!!!! HELP!!!!

Something removed and consumed the head from my duck last night through the chain link fence. What would do this?

I am getting some live traps today and will need to know how to bait.

Any help would be great.

Sounds like a raccoon to me. They are great at reaching through the wire and grabbing any unsuspecting fowl that is unlucky enough to be to close to the side of the enclousure. Get the trap)s) and set them immediately. Once they know there is food around they will come back for more.

Yeah...coons can be very...methodical in their feeding..they'll pull the chicken through bit by bit and eat it as they go.

We lost our big rooster King to a skunk...we couldnt believe it but we had tracks for proof...we then did a bunch of research on skunks/chickens/ducks et...skunks generally like to remove the head to drink the blood...they dont usually bother eating the body.
