Same chicken??

I have 8 hens. My barrock is the first to lay... the brown ones.. then yesterday I found a off white one they destroyed and then today I found this light green one but my barrock was lying on it... are they all from her or is another lady laying and my barrock just wanted to lay on this new one??

What breed is each one, as far as you know?

- meant to add, each chicken lays the same-colored egg her whole life, although the intensity of the color might fade a bit through the laying season. Also one egg might have a bit more bloom than another from the same bird.

You’ve got four with red combs, as best as I can tell. Do all four squat when you approach? (They don’t always.) I think you have several layers there.

- also, individual chickens don’t lay more than one egg a day (with some very rare one-off cases.) If you collect eggs daily, you’ll know you have at least that many laying.

Going by egg color and shape, I would guess that at least 3 pullets are laying.

I know i have 2 black jersey giant, 2 buff orpingtons, 1 glw, and 1 bantam, 1 barrock and not sure what the others are

Is the blue one in the back an OE possibly? Maybe the greenish one is from her?

See that's what I thought... so I'm assuming I got at least 2 to 3 birds laying. All of them crouch down when I pet them

Whichever ones have the bright red combs are probably laying.
