Head tucked and backing up. What's wrong?

I just wanted to let you both know that our quail, Gimli, seems completely recovered! It was a slow recovery over a couple of weeks. He is less agressive than the other two crowing males which is a good thing. I guess the other 6 are famale. They are nearly 7 weeks old. We got 1 egg a day for 6 days then 2 eggs today. One of the males is aggressive so we put him and Gimli in a separate house at night to decrease the crazy chasing. The two of them get along fine; this is their third night in the bachelor pad. The 9 quail have a lot of room during the day to spread out in the aviary. Hopefully with this new arrangement we'll soon be seeing more eggs.
