So, I’m rebuilding my coop. A while back I saw a post with pictures where a headboard (maybe a footboard?) was used to build nesting boxes.
I swear I saved that post but now I can’t find it. A search brings up some threads but I must not be looking closely enough or remembering it quite right because I just can’t find the specific one I wanted to implement.
Does anyone remember this really cool nesting box plan?

I'd like to see that too! I hope you find it. I did drawers....

I took a sledge hammer to the worlds biggest, ugliest, old in a bad way not an antique way, armoire. So satisfying.... So then I had different sized drawers and they use the really big drawer underneath to hop up into the small drawers.
Oh and the bonus... I used the sides of the armoire for poop boards in the big girls coop and the top of it for a poop board in the little's brooder! I've used every single piece of that beast!

I'm always amazed at this.

I've often seen old dressers with missing/broken drawers but I've never seen drawers without a dresser. :D
When I finally talked the DH into letting go of it I thought maybe I'd make a brooder out of it. I've seen quite a few on Pinterest. Well, I'm just not that good, it was way to hard. Or maybe I just really, really wanted to knock it down with a sledge hammer hmmmm...... Anyhow, I love using old furniture and NOT buying lumber. Can't wait to see what this headboard idea is all about. I may or may not be ripping one of those out of my house as we speak 😅
