There is know way any animal can live without eating or drinking more than 2 weeks or less. unless they tubed him.

wow ,now thats crazy, i never herd about this before, but i asume that he kept it alive becouse he felt bad, that chick was determined to live.

I saw the video on youtube in the natural history of the chickens series. They kept his head in a jar full of formaldahyde (not sure if spelling is correct but gave it my best shot) I thought it was disgusting but amazing he lived that long and probably would have lived even longer had they had the syringe handy that night in the motel room.
