Healthier pastured eggs = Healthier chicks?

I see what your saying... What I was trying to say is, if there is enough of a nutrient (adequate amount) than I don't think adding more of it is going to make the chick healthier? It would be like you taking a multi-vitamin and then taking additional vitamin C to make you healthier?

Your body is already getting 100% it's daily intake for Vitamin C... adding more isn't going to make you healthier... you just don't use it...

I'm sure omega fatty acids and vitamins vary greatly but I'm not sure it's going to make a huge difference in the way the chicks preform.

For one thing, science hasn't really determined just how much of anything we really need. But no, adding more vitamin C probably won't do much. But if you change your overall diet from processed crap, to a wide variety of natural foods, containing varying amounts of a wide range of nutrients, (not just carbs, fats, and proteins, but vitamins, minerals, fiber, enzymes, phytochemicals, and all kinds of good stuff we don't even know about yet) then yes, you'll most likely improve your health. Partly because you'd be getting nutrients in a form your body can actually use, called "food", generally superior to vitamin pills. Partly because you'd be taking in fewer toxins and stuff that's just plain bad for you.

Yes, and there have been recent studies that show that many of us don't get enough vitamin D, especially kids. There are things that we didn't know were being caused by, or at least exacerbated by, low levels of vitamin D. The same can be said for any number of nutrients.
