I would like to stop feeding Layena, and switch to a more natural diet for my Rhode Island Red rooster and one hen. They are strictly pets, hen doesn't have to lay. If I could stay away from GMO's,that would suit me. I appreciate that many people feel fine about bagged feed and GMOs, but I would prefer to go a different path. These two are free ranging in middle Tennessee in mixed pasture and forest. What kind of grains, etc, would people recommend. And if someone in middle Tennessee could recommend some sources, that would be great!
Thanks.

If you want them happy and healthy, you can mix your own feed. Here's a link. It's a lot more work than buying a bag of feed but I think it's worth it! My chickens are very healthy and that's all I feed them. Be sure to have grit and oyster shell available!
