heard chirping! They are alive!

I guess I did something right. We were just near the bator, and heard chirping for the first time! Thats exciting! I have 9 BR eggs, hatch date the 13th! Wish them luck!

And keep an eye on them. My last batch I heard chirping and it was my lockdown day...they hatched the next day! Keep that humidity up!

Last night, we could see one pipped. This morning, One hatched, and 3 more pipped. I will go take some pics soon. This is exciting. Humidity is at 66%, and temp at 100.6

Oh, how long should I wait before I move the baby (babies soon) to the brooder?

I wouldn't open the lid of the bator until the last one hatches. If you do, you could compromise the rest of your hatch by lowering the humidity. So sit tight! You'll be able to hold those babies before long!

Ok, cool beans! I have a total of one hatched, and 6 pips so far out of 9 eggs total. The one that has hatched looks healthy so far. It keeps pecking the wire on the sensor for my thermometer. Its starting to dry off now too.

One more hatched. Two of the pipped eggs look like they could go at any moment. The last one that hatched was cool because my kids actually got to see it. Humidity has gone up to 75%, but I figure thats expected with two of the eggs hatching.
