Our RIR's have been getting loud. I keep telling my husband they are trying to crow but they never do it for him!
They sound awful to be honest lol but they are 10 weeks old. Is this what I'm hearing?
I'm a first time owner, getting excited here!
The first time it was just two low loud noises. But it's getting more distinct.

Didn't know if this was proper age. =)

PS- That is yogurt on his beak. ;) lol

That actually looks like a pullet to me! At 10 weeks? Oh yeah.

My first crows sounded like broken bicycle horns/squeaky toys. I do have some loud hens that just like to raise their voices. How long have they not been peeping for? Their teenage voices are pretty awkward.

You'll know when they're trying to crow. They'll look like they are about to barf and look like they can't help it.

That one is a hen. I couldn't find one of a roo, just showing size. :)

I can't figure out which RIR is doing it. They haven't been peeing for a few weeks now. And we get clucks pretty often.
I'll have to keep a closer eye on them to try and pinpoint which one is making the noise.

That is incredible!! Sooooo cute!

Oh that is too funny!!! I am definitely hearing that with all of my roo's!!
I thought that they were just 'cooing'.
Maybe the new sound I am hearing is just him getting better.

Thanks!!
