I 'm wondering if chickens can have heart attacks,because my rooster ,which was one year old ,fell to the floor and was gasping for air ,and died within seconds. I have never seen anything like that.

Yes, unfortunately they can. If no others have shown illness or there after I would suspect that it was. Sorry for your loss
