Heartbreak morning.

I was still building the chicken coop in my backyard with my dad yesterday and my 2 months old chicks were kept in my sunny room. I was just stupid enough to forgot to shut off the sunny room door and this morning I lost all my chicks. Something maybe fox took them all, left feathers everywhere and my heartbroken girls.
Anyone knows I can get more baby chicks around Lexington Mass? Thanks

I am probably getting old, feel really stupid and regretted to lost someone who lived with you for 2 months.

I have now placed orders twice for new chicks following attacks. I still miss some of the lost ones, but raising them is fun, so expecting new ones helps with the loss. I just look at the hatcheries I like and order from whoever has the ones I want, with the soonest availability. I have used with good results the following hatcheries.

So sorry for your losses. It could have been most any predator, even a cat. If you have a game camera, put it up and you will probably find out what killed your chicks. Most likely the predator has been lurking and looking for an opportunity and found it. Good luck...
