I have 3 RIR...I know 2 are laying because I found 2 eggs at once..I believe the third bird started laying because I found a soft shelled egg the other day.I have now only been finding one egg..It has been 90's and even 107 with heat index the last week.Would the heat slow down the production ?

I have been looking/checking around but I haven't found any stray eggs...There are no bushes or real hiding places...The Yards pretty clean and mowed...I have a play house that I leave open because they like to dig in the dirt in it....No eggs there either... I hand feed them fruits and veggies so they follow me around the yard. Other then under my deck(which is large rocks,no grass) and about 3 1/2 feet off the ground...I have checked there to but I will check there more often in case I over looked a egg for a rock...

They did start laying again when it cooled off ...Got hot again a week later it was100 to 105 with the heat index for 3 days straight ..she layed a soft shell egg.I'm guessing she will have a hard shell egg tomorrow... I wish they played in water to cool off like ducks...
