I told my husband I was gonna buy some adult depends and cut a hole for her tail and put it on her but I don't wanna spend the money for them since she will probably shred them anyways.

My vet warned me when I fist brought him my puppy (8wks old) that dogs can sometimes have a silent heat cycle their first time. Mine did. She's a 10 month old golden retriever. I noticed a difference but didn't see any drips a few weeks back. I thought she was done but when I had her spayed yesterday the vet (not my primary) charged me more because she was in heat. I'm surprised that a silent cycle hasn't been suggested already although I had never heard of it until I got my girl.

Keep your fingers crossed that she won't have a full blown false pregnancy afterwards. We have a dog that has had one every time she has come into heat other than the time we bred her. She makes milk, nests, nurses the cat (which in turn prolongs the lactaction), and freaks out if we keep the cat away from her. She paces and whines if she can't get into our room to make her nest. We let her have her litter in our room as apparently it's the chosen spot. Our vet told us that all dogs have some form of false pregnancy, but the extent they go to varies.
