Yep, there is no set amount of food to give. It all depends on the dog and the food. I use this dog food calculator to get a starting point then adjust the amount based on how my dogs look. I change the amount of feed my dogs get frequently, often daily. When they get treats or are sedentary I reduce their normal meal amount. When they are very active I increase the amount.
