Heat for colder weather

NO HEAT!!!! I promise your birds don't need it! It seems cold to you and I know you think they're chilly, but they aren't. They are naturally fluffy and warm with a downy layer beneath their outer feathers.
And if you artificially heat them and they get used to it, they can easily die if the power goes out and you don't have that source running.
Chickens are tough and hearty. Please, just let them chicken!!!

Oh wow, we are in Georgia we rarely get below 20 degrees. This is my first winter with chickens so I'm glad I asked before I just jumped in and did it. Will they go into the coop and warm up if they are too cold? Today it was so rainy and cold and they wouldn't go into the coop and just looked miserable
 just because you are cold and miserable doesn't mean they are...are they really miserable or just look wet?
Some of mine like to be out in the rain, they look bedraggled but are warm and dry under their outer feathers.

What does your coop and run look like?
Is it big and light enough to be a pleasant place to hang out?
Dimensions and pics would help us help you.

Yeah, mine weren't too pleased either......was funny to see which chickens went out into the snow and which ones hide in or under the coop. We know chickens don't like change..and snow was definitely a change.

Add owners of chickens don't like change and add snow to that.

The netting held the snow pretty well and then of course I was full of snow as it fell off the net. I was an hour late for work, told my boss that when it snows to expect this from me...

The ducks froze in their tracks when they saw the snow...
