Heat in brooder box.

What is the safest way to set up a heat lamp in a brooder box? I know these heat lamps, or even a strong light bulb, can get very hot, and with chickies on some sort of paper bedding, either shavings or newspaper, I can see a recipe for disaster. Im not home a lot during the day, and I want to set up a brooder to where its not only warm for chickies, but extremely safe so I dont have to worry about a hot light slipping down in the box and catching the bedding on fire.
