Heat lamp stopped working

My chicks are 1 month old and the heat lamp just stopped working what do i do? Can i use a normal yellow light bulb

If they are inside your house, then they will probably be fine.
Listen for whether they are happy or unhappy.

If they are unhappy, you can try a normal light bulb (but it won't do much), or you can get a new heat bulb.

But if they seem content, then they do not need any other heat source. (That is if they are in your house, where it stays a constant temperature, and where you can easily hear if they are distressed.)

If they are NOT inside your house, then I think you should just get them a new heat lamp bulb. Maybe bring them into the house while you're getting it.

A normal light bulb is fine for light to see by, but not usually as a heat source. Some incandescent light bulbs do put out enough heat to use that way, but LED and fluorescent bulbs do not.
