Heat lamp

I invested in the big orange hard plastic encased heat lamp and felt it was much safer than the aluminum kind. The 250 watt red one worked for me and I think it is supposed to reduce aggression. They were in the cool basement though.

Its warm here and I have one silkie chick that hatched out yesterday and it is in a cardboard box a small one with a 50 watt red heat lamp and I have to keep checking it to make sure its not getting to hot. They are reptile heat lamps I have a 50 and two 75 and the 250.

I originally purchased that 250 watt bulb but it threw too much heat so I went to petsmart and got a 100 watt heat bulb on the lizard aisle and a 50 watt and I have been using them for heat. Plus it has been so dog gone hot I am only using it at night.
