Heat lamps, Amprolium, and sad baby chicks, oh my!

I thought I would post an update here: my chicks are doing SO MUCH BETTER!

I think a large part of the problem is that the heat lamp was too hot. They had ample room to move to cooler areas of the brooder, but apparently they aren’t the brightest and decided to sunbathe a bit too much. Once they were swapped to the heat plate they started doing much better.

They have been put on medicated feed instead of this silly half dose weekly thing the barn recommended, and are doing well on it. They also got an upgraded brooder with more space (thanks to @spuddenly !) and are now bumping chests, running around like little wildlings, and attempting to fly out. Such a huge difference - they’re happy, healthy chicks now thanks to all your help and advice! Thanks, everyone!
