heat lamps messing up schedule?

I dont know but since we turned the dang thing on at night its a red light the rooster/s have begun crowing at like 1am
and then all the hens start the egg laying song.
kinda freaks me out when you wake up in the middle of the night to your chickens making noise cause I was told that they usually dont and if they are there is most likely something wrong!
so I sit listening and usually I even get up in the chilly night with my flashlight and go peak at them.
so is it the light being on thats doing this? or just some random occurance.

We have an automatic light that comes on at 5am, i keep the heat lamp
on during the day and then I turn it off at night. Our coop is insulated so
the heat lamp does keep the water from freezing on the inside and does
keep it warmer in there then it is outside. I keep everything closed up
except for their pop door so that they can go out into their run whenever
they want.

My husband was afraid that we would mess up their schedule so we just
turn the heat lamp off at night.
