My chicks are seven weeks old, fully feathered. I stop using heat a week ago when the days were 70 plus and nights 50/60's. It is supposed to get down to 38 tonight and 32 tomorrow night. They are in an uninsulated 12x12 coop. Should I turn on the heat tonight or not?

Should be ok. Add the heat if you are worried. I had my chicks out in the garage in the playpen by 8 weeks, and I did not always have the light on.When I did it was a lower watt bulb.

In the least add some extra bedding for them to settle in too.

My six week old chicks are fully feathered so I turned off the heat lamp. I found one smothered this morning so I'm going to put the lamp back on during the night. We are getting down into the 30's at night too. Good luck!
