heat stroke

I do know that heatstroke can have long term effects in mammals. I'm not sure of the long term ramifications of heat stroke in poultry. I would suggest keeping him cool and non stressed until he appears normal.

We just had a hen almost succumb to heat stroke a few weeks ago. Keep him stress free, offer him water constantly, keep fresh feed very near, and if hes bad, give him a half ounce of gatorade 4 times a day, plain yogurt, and 10 milligrams of b complex vitamins once a day. Our hen took a good week to recover enough to go back outside, so if he doesnt get better soon, dont give up hope. Just give him time!

Best wishes and may your little man get better soon!
