Heat worries?

We are experiencing terrible heat in the southeast and I just wanted to know if I need to do anything special other than make sure the water stays fresh and cool?
I am new to this!!

lots and lots of shade that has good air movement. Freeze bottles/jugs of water then put the bottles/jugs in a shady part of the coop/run that the birds can huddle around to cool off.
