Heated Bed for Outdoor Cat

I ended up getting her this heated bed from K and H. So far she’s been too scared to go completely inside but I’ve been putting her food in there, so hopefully it won’t be too long before she starts using it.

I always remove the front flap if it came with one.

I did, but I guess it looks too much like a trap to her. She goes in to eat though.

It can take a while. I usually put mine in there than quickly pet and block them from leaving for a few seconds, then let them leave. I repeat a few times. It can help to place something in the house if it's the heat pad that is activated by the sitting on it, so the heat is going when they are placed inside. Once they realize it's warm they generally overcome any fear of it.

My grandparents have had strays dropped off and a few have been friendly enough. They used the K and H bed.
I planned on getting that for the rabbit ill be getting in the spring.
And ive heard good things about them.
So maybe.

Good point. I was going to make a mount on the side of the hutch. But it could still reach it. Maybe not. Ill have to find something else.

A heated bed in a chicken coop? What a fantastic idea! Consider the K&H Pet Products Outdoor Heated Kitty Pad—it's durable, safe, and resistant to dust. It performs excellently on pine shavings. Also for meds consider nice revolution for cats without vet prescription meds. Your kitten will do wonderfully, even in coop conditions!
