Hello! Im converted from heat lamps they are so terrifying, Got one of these and wanted some help to get abit of knowledge if its set up okey, i get told it needs to touch their back or something or can they just be under it and get warm? Very new to this, They are struggling to understand what it id aswell ive been told to do it at a angle and gave it a go any feedback would be deeply appreciated

This is adorable. I'm not sure I've ever seen ducklings using a heat plate. I have a heat plate article under the Chick Quicks link in my profile, but it looks like you already have things figured out! The slant is a great technique for letting them find what's most comfortable. 👍

I use a heat plate for everything from quail chicks, chicken chicks, ducklings, and goslings. I use a heat lamp for turkey poults though.
I always set the legs like that so they can choose their own ideal temperature
